Are WE Big Brother?

I was thinking about social networking today. You know, that whole revolution that's taking place on the internet right now which lets you see what all of your friends are doing at any given moment?

Is it possible that, like Skynet, we were so worried about the government becoming Big Brother that we didn't notice we were creating him ourselves? And that we're willingly giving up our privacy to him?

    If something will become skynet - than it´s propably Google. They collect all the data on the net. I´m quite curious what the internet will look like 20 years from now on… maybe we´ll have some chips injected with all our data on it and pay, comunicate and order wireless via google… Brave new world.
